NLA Question: Web site for adult reading students?

Does anyone know of a web site that adult low-level readers can use 
to improve their reading and writing skills?  The learning center 
where I tutor which is part of the corrections department has a 
computer program for its students for self-paced study of writing, 
reading and math.  We had heard there might be something similar on 
the Web.  The students would like to know so they could use the 
library's Internet access when the learning center is closed.  A 
cd-rom won't help as they do not have access to equipment on which to 
use it.
