     Good news for literacy!  
     
     Late last week, the Senate confirmed Paul Simon to the National 
     Institute for Literacy's Advisory Board, effectively immediately.  
     Stay tuned for his article in our upcoming publication "Policy Success 
     Stories," which describes how he became interested in literacy (to be 
     released in September as part of phase 2 of the national public 
     awareness campaign) and his article "How to Talk to Policymakers about 
     Literacy" in our next newsletter.  (Both articles will be available on
