Dear Colleagues,

I apologize for the very late notice about our upcoming Counselor Sharing Group.  However, if you are interested and available, please join us on Wednesday, December 7, from 1-3:30pm to explore:

Managing Our Varied Roles and Responsibilities as ABE/ESOL Counselors

If you have any Counseling/Advising responsibilities in your program, you are welcome to join this Counselors' Sharing Seminar.  We will discuss the many different responsibilities of counselors in adult learning programs, and we'll share systems and tips for managing them all.  If you've come up with a great way to streamline "follow-up," come share!  If you've ever thought, "There has to be a better way to document student goals," come to learn!  If you've been wondering about more useful ways to help students in crisis, let's talk it over!  As always, this sharing group is also an opportunity for you to brainstorm and get support around any particularly pressing issue in your program.  We can all benefit from the experience and wisdom of others who do what we do.

This session will be facilitated by Laura Kranis, ABE counselor for SCALE in Somerville.
