[Nesabes] The Money Conference - 11/12 in Lowell

Dear Colleagues,

Attached is a flyer for *The Money Conference* to be held on *Saturday,
November 12th from 9:30 - 3:00 *at UMass Lowell Inn and Conference Center.
 This *FREE* conference is sponsored by State Treasurer Steve Grossman,
MASSCAP, Community Teamwork, Inc., and other organizations in the
communities of the Merrimack Valley.  Attendees will receive *breakfast,
lunch, childcare (ages 2+)* and a "*Nine Segment Guide to Manage Your
Finances."* The conference is for individuals and families challenged with
earning enough to make ends meet.  Adult attendees of all ages, racial,
ethnic and economic backgrounds and level of financial knowledge are
encouraged to attend.

A* special workshop opened to nonprofit direct service providers* will be
offered. "Introduction to the Financial Education Toolkit:  Talking with
Clients about Financial Education" will be facilitated by Jonas Parker
formerly from the Institute on Assets and Social Policy (IASP) at Brandeis
University.  Jonas developed the toolkit and has trained hundreds of
teachers and practitioners across the state on the use of the toolkit with
many disadvantaged adults.
