NE SABES' 2009 PROMISING PRACTICES FORUM

The Northeast SABES staff is very excited to be hosting the Northeast Adult Basic Education Promising Practices Forum again this year.  The response from over 80 participants last year was overwhelmingly positive!  We are very honored to have some outstanding ABE/ESOL practitioners from northeast ABE/ESOL programs, who will be sharing their promising practices with you.  Topics include:  Integrating Core Skills for College Preparation; Practices in Phonology (for accent reduction); Learning English at a Distance (LEAD); Supporting ABE/ESOL Students Through Wellness Activities; Strategies for the Sheltered Immersion Classroom; and Helping ABE Students Prepare for College.
