Counselor Sharing Seminar:
May 13, Weds., 1-3:30, Northern Essex Community College
(This will be the final meeting of the year.)

Topic : Students’ stories and the Counselor’s role:  The role of the counselor in listening to students’ stories; helping students feel safe to share; helping to “contain” emotions when students feel overwhelmed; “grounding” exercises; setting limits; making referrals to outside therapists; giving students strategies, techniques, and resources including mantras and breathing exercises; guiding and/or empowering students.
