Dear Partners--

 

I wanted to let you know about this great training opportunity.  A free
training program is available for entry-level work in electronic
manufacturing industry.  Participants take 50 hours (two weeks) of
instruction, get an industry certificate when completed and have the
opportunity to apply for employment with partner businesses.  Training
is based in Lawrence (at LARE/American Training Inc).  Please see the
attached flyer for more information.

 

Participants must meet the following requirements:

*	minimum 18 years old
*	clean CORI
*	US citizen
*	high school diploma or GED
*	cannot be color blind
*	no driver's license required
*	7th grade reading (ABLE or TABE test) (if just below level,
training vendor may work with candidate)
*	5th grade math (ABLE or TABE test) (if just below level,
training vendor may work with candidate)
*	no income requirement for eligibility

The program was supposed to start today but is delayed due to low
enrollment.  It will begin as soon as they get 20 participants.  Please
see the attached flyer for contact information if you have any
questions.

As discussed on Friday, we are trying to recruit candidates for this
training but we can't come up with the number to start the training
with. We need about twenty participants all together.   Please, send the
