A Doorway to Life Changing Possibilities

Northern Essex Community College

Lawrence Campus

Wednesday March 19, 2008, 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.

 

SABES and NECC welcome your ABE/ESOL/GED students and teachers to
participate in the following events at our "College for A Day: A Doorway
to Life Changing Possibilities" program:

*      A guided tour of the NECC Lawrence campus, led by friendly NECC
student ambassadors

*      A choice of attending varied and exciting college mini-classes
facilitated by NECC faculty.

*      An interactive question and answer panel discussion with NECC
students who have attended ABE programs in the past.  They will share
with your students the successes and challenges of college life.

*      An informative exploration of Financial Aid Options

*      An introduction to NECC One Stop Career Counseling and Enrollment
Services

*      A look at "Transition to College" Program for ABE students
applying to NECC

*      A continental breakfast and complementary lunch

*      A professional development activity for teachers, counselors and
directors.

 

Attached are Student Pre-Registration Form and Program Staff
Pre-Registration Form (with staff development preference checklist
included). 

*Please complete and return forms by February 15, 2008 

 A description of mini-classes and individual student class preference
checklist will be sent to each registered program prior to the event.
