[Nesabes] ANNOUNCING-NE SABES PROMISING PRACTICES FORUM -CALLING ALL ABE/ESOL PROGRAM TEACHERS, COUNSELORS AND COORDINATORS!!

Dear Colleagues:

 

Northeast SABES is hosting a "Promising Practices" forum on Thursday,
May 29, 2008 from 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM where ABE/ESOL staff can share
their expertise with other staff in the region by presenting "mini
workshops."    This is your opportunity to showcase the fabulous work
that you do in your ABE program and for you to tune up your teaching and
facilitation skills.  This is also an opportunity for you to participate
in SABES "train the trainer" classes to prepare for your presentation
and to be trained as a SABES facilitator!

 

If you have effective, innovative or creative teaching, counseling or
coordination techniques, share them at this forum with your colleagues
to benefit our adult learners.  SABES staff will assist you to develop
your workshop.  A stipend will be paid for presenting.  (It is highly
recommended that you team up with a colleague for your workshop
presentation.)

 

Attached is a "Call for Presenters" notice, along with a Proposal for
Presenters and a sample of a completed proposal.  PROPOSALS ARE DUE TO
SABES BY 2/29/08.   Please contact Patricia Pelletier (PPell3453 at aol.com
