[Nesabes] Junkyard Dan, a new series for older adolescent and adult literacy...

We thought you'd be interested in hearing about the new Junkyard Dan series--a series written specifically for struggling, emergent and ESL older adolescent and adult readers in GED courses, ABE programs and more. We've attached a small info page about the series from Nox Press--a brand new publishing house in the U.S. that is devoted specifically to struggling, emergent and ESL older adolescent and adult readers. (See PDF attachments.)  

All of the books in the Junkyard Dan series are written on a Flesch-Kincaid reading level of 0.9 (a first-grade reading level), but are written for adults, about adults and with adult characters. Each book is about 100 pages long, no pictures, just simple stories in novel form to help build the reader's reading muscles and improve their reading strength and skills.
