[Nesabes] Workshop Reminder

 To ABE Directors, Practitioners and Coordinators,

 

The NE SABES upcoming workshop, "How to Communicate With Businesses to
Promote Your ABE Program," will give you the tools and techniques to
approach potential business partners with comfort, confidence and
effectiveness. You will also learn about the various funding sources for
workplace education, the benefits to your ABE program of partnering with
businesses, and will hear first hand from ABE and CBO program
representatives about their experiences with forming business
partnerships.

 

Part 1 of the workshop (10/3/07) will be facilitated by Patricia
Pelletier, former ABE Director who developed and directed workplace
education and skills training programs for many years and Michele
Chausse, Communications Specialist who has worked extensively with
non-profits and the business sector.  

 

Part 2 of the workshop (10/10/07) will be a panel of presenters
including Jane Shea from Quinsigammond Community College who has
operated workplace education programs for many years, including
developing the highly successful program with TJ Maxx, Beth Hogan from
North Shore Community Action Program who currently oversees a workplace
education program in partnership with Brooksby Village in Beverly and
Rob Vitello from Commonwealth Corporation who provides technical
assistance to community based organizations and businesses on the
Workforce Training Fund Program.
