[Nesabes] Introduction to Counseling Workshop Reminder

Dear Colleagues,

If you are currently working as a counselor in your program and would
like the opportunity to more fully understand your role and how to make
a greater difference within your program, register for the "Introduction
to Counseling in ABE" workshop.  

This Northeast SABES workshop is being held on Thursday, November 1,
2007, from 1:00pm-5:00pm at the Lawrence campus of Northern Essex
Community College.

This 4-hour workshop will provide novice and intermediate ABE Program
Counselors and Student Support Coordinators with an overview of the
essentials of working with adult learners in ABE programs. It will help
new counselors to understand how the counseling role interrelates with
teachers and directors in their programs and with the community and is
also appropriate for teachers and program staff  who are interested in
learning more about supporting students in their classrooms and
programs.
