Dean for Human Resources,
Northern Essex Community College
Dear Sir/Madam:
I am writing in response to your job posting in the website where you
indicated the need for an ESOL teacher for the NECC SEIU 888/Family Day Care
(Lawrence); two nights a week.
I recently graduated from the Catholic University of Santo Domingo. This
University is considered one of the best teaching institutions in the country.
My thesis was “The Use of Alternative Teaching Strategies and Resources for
children with dyslexia. I engaged in a year long study on how to develop
their reading and writing skills.
I have taught for seven years, two years in the American School of Santo
Domingo, four years in the Russell Van Vleet School and one year at the Saint
Thomas School. I have worked with children K-5 and middle school through high
school.
I have taught and facilitated ESOL classes in collaboration with the Greater
Lawrence Community Action Council and the Adult Learning Center.
Currently, I am working on the provisional certification with a projected
date of September 2007 completion.
Please review my resume and if you feel I am qualified for any of the
positions, please contact me.
In advance, I thank you for your consideration.
Yours Truly,
Christine Brito
