Hello Mass Workforce Alliance listserv:

This Friday kicks off the first of several community meetings that the Patrick/Murray Transition team will hold to help gather intelligence on workforce development in Massachusetts. This is an excellent opportunity for everyone in the field and we hope that as many people as possible attend the meetings.

I'm forwarding the letter of invitation below. People will have about 2 minutes to speak to the working group. You are invited to submit testimony at www.patrickmurraytransition.org. There will also be meetings in Lowell, Springfield and UMass Dartmouth. As soon as we get details on when and exactly where those meetings will be, we will send that out to you. The critical information for Friday is:

Dear Friends,

Deval's campaign was not just a model for campaigning, but a model for governing. In that spirit, the Patrick-Murray Transition Team is setting up a series of issues-focused Community Meetings across the state.

These meetings are a tremendous opportunity for anyone to come and participate in shaping the direction of our government. Each Community Meeting will be hosted by one or more of the fifteen working groups created to help shape the new administration's policy agenda. They need your input to make the administration a success.

This Friday, December 1st, we are hosting the first meeting on Workforce Development, and you will find the details below.

Please spread the word to friends, colleagues, and anyone who you think might want to participate in this important event.
