The Massachusetts Workforce Alliance is launching its PEER Project and we
invite you to join us to improve local and state policies in workforce
development!

Staff of education and training programs know the state and public policies
which need to change - we see these policies every day in delivering services.
Through our Policy Education, Engagement, and Response (PEER) Project, MWA
can give you an exciting way to work with colleagues to change policies that
affect your program and your participants.

Do you need more funds to educate and train residents in your part of the
state?

Do you think the education and training system can do a better job meeting
the needs of people your organization serves?

Do some current policies get in the way of delivering effective services?

If your answer is "yes" and if you want to solve these problems, we want to
work with you in the PEER Project.

MWA has trained 20 workforce development practitioners as Community Educators
- who will work across the state with education and training staff on policy
issues. We will come meet with you at least three times to help you (a)
understand the workforce development system as it now exists, (b) focus on the
policy issue(s) you care about most, and (c) develop an advocacy action plan to
try to change those policies.

We're looking for local leaders - job developers, counselors, executive
directors, teachers, and others - who want to participate in this work. Together
we can play a key role in advocating for better policies! If you are
interested, call MWA at 617-983-9259 or email us at massworkforce at aol.com. We look
forward to talking with you!

the world, indeed it is the only thing that ever has." Margaret Mead
