THE STATE FISCAL PICTURE IS GETTING WORSE AND THERE’S A GROWING
BUDGET DEFICIT!
Closing corporate tax loopholes would raise nearly $500 million for
education, health care and our infrastructure!
The House is on the verge of giving nearly all the money that would
be raised from closing corporate tax loopholes back to corporations in
a huge unaffordable tax cut.
This week, the House is expected to vote on a proposal that would
close corporate tax loopholes and cut the corporate income tax rate by
25% - costing $466 million.
	Call Your State Representative NOW!

	617-722-2000

Or email your Rep at Rep.[your Rep’s first name and last
name]@hou.state.ma.us

To find the name of your State Rep (“Rep in General Court”), log
on to www.wheredoivotema.com [1] Your call will only take a few
minutes. You can use this sample script:
Hi, my name is _________________. I live [or work] at
_____________.
I am calling because I oppose the unaffordable corporate income tax
cut. By closing loopholes and leaving the corporate income tax rate
intact, we can raise $500 million to invest in health care, education,
and our infrastructure. Please communicate your opposition to this
rate cut to House Speaker DiMasi as soon as possible.
MCAE supports the Coalition for Tax Fairness, which is urging the
Legislature to close the corporate loopholes and keep tax rates at
current levels.
House debate on the tax proposal begins on Tuesday, so your
immediate action is needed.
After your call, report the response to your program point person
(If you don't work for an ABE program, please report back directly to
MCAE at 617-778-7971 or lschuster at mcae.net.
