[MCAEnews] WSG Workshops

MCAE wants to let people at ABE programs around the state know about the
first two Regional Forums being sponsored by the Workforce Solutions Group.
The WSG "advocates for an effective workforce development system that
increases workers' skills, advances families to self-sufficiency and
promotes job creation and economic growth." They are holding a series of
forums around the state and are inviting people to join them for a
"community discussion on skills, education and employment in Massachusetts."
MCAE would like to encourage people at ABE programs to consider attending
one of these forums to make sure that adult basic education perspectives are
included in the discussion. There will be several more of these forums in
other regions of the state later in October and November and we'll get word
out to you about them as well, but right now we want to let you know about
the two that are coming up soon.
 
1) Wednesday, September 22, 5:30-7:00pm, in the MBTA Conference Room at
North Shore Community College, Lynn Campus. RSVP to Maquisha Bowzer 
at 978-741-3805.
 
2) Thursday, October 7, 8:30-10:30am, in the cafeteria (room G217) at
Holyoke Community College. RSVP to Nancy Blair at 413-775-1607.
