[Mcaegrassroots] a pitch for federal point people

 Dear Program Point People-
 As we prepare for the state budget season (the Governor will present
his budget tomorrow Wed., Jan 23), we must also keep our eye on the
federal budget. Our congressional delegation is generally supportive
of ABE, but we should work on moving these members towards becoming
champions for us.
 MCAE would like to formalize its network for working with
congressional offices and is looking for 10 current point people to
serve individually as principal contact persons with specific offices.
These would ideally be people who have a good working relationship
with the education staff person in each of the Representatives'
offices. Kenny and I at MCAE will work at the point people with
Senators Kennedy and Kerry.
 Here are the congresspeople that we would like to have paired up
with a point person:
 Rep. Olver
 Rep. Neal
 Rep. McGovern
 Rep. Frank
 Rep. Tsongas
 Rep. Tierney
 Rep. Markey
 Rep. Capuano
 Rep. Lynch
 Rep. Delahunt
 Please respond back to this list if you are interested in being a
designated contact person. It would help if you have an existing
relationship with someone in the given office, but this is by no means
a prerequisite.
