[Mcaegrassroots] Response to Wish List Alert so far...

 Hi MCAE Point People-
 First of all, thanks to everyone who has made calls in response to
our most recent alert! Getting MCAE's budget request of $40 million
into Representatives' budget request letters is a critical part of
this process. Those letters were due to Rep. DeLeo's office this past
Monday and now Reps will be meeting individually with the Ways and
Means Committee to discuss their requests. It is critical that Reps.
advocate for the $40 million amount in these meetings.
 Please find attached an Excel spreadsheet outlining the activity
that has happened so far. We have heard several times that folks would
like to see what activity has happens across the state, so that you
aren't just reporting back into a void. I will make sure to continue
sending these reports back to the field.
 The column labeled "Overall Ranking" is the ranking that folks have
given to the calls they've made on this alert. Here's that ranking
system again:
 1 = made a definite commitment to include ABE in his/her  budget
request to House Ways and Means as you asked   2 = favorable toward
request, but no definite  commitment   3 = neutral   4 = opposed to
the request; will definitely not support  it 
 Numbers in all of the other columns are total numbers of calls that
have been made from particular programs. I'm sure that more calls have
been made, but these are the only ones that I can confirm. Please let
me know whenever calls are made so that you receive the proper credit!

 We must look at the gaps here and continue our advocacy as the House
drafts its budget. Please let me know if you have done advocacy and it
is not recorded in this spreadsheet. We hope to have every Rep.
contacted to hear our budget request. Also, if your program has not
yet made any calls, there is no better time than the present!
