[Icvv] Matching Up

Hello ICVV Colleagues,

For the benefit of those who have newly joined the ICVV list, here  
are the instructions for making an International Classroom Virtual  
Visit match:

1. If you haven't yet, post a message here  
[ icvv at lists.literacytent.org ] introducing yourself, including what  
country and town your class is located in, what level, and what kind  
of class it is (adult ESL/ESOL, 4th grade, high school English,  
etc.)  Also, if you know what kind of class you would prefer to be  
matched with, tell us that.  Tell us, if you have more than one class  
you would like to match, about each class. Add anything else that you  
think is pertinent.

2. Then go to the ICVV database for this year  at  http://www.otan.us/ 
webfarm/emailproject/database2.htm

3. If Susan has entered your information into the database, check to  
see that it is correct.  If you want her to change something e-mail  
her at < sgaer at yahoo.com > .

4. See if there is anyone listed in the database that you are  
interested in matching your class(es) with, and email them directly  
to work out how you will do the project together (which classes, when  
you will begin, what theme(s) you/they want to emphasize, how long  
the project will last, etc.)

5. Post a message to this list  [ icvv at lists.literacytent.org ] when  
you have made a match, and Susan will post that on the database.
