I'm Barry Bakin.  I have been active in using computers with my ESL
classes for several years but this is the first semester in quite awhile
that I have a completely connected classroom so I'm planning to once
again implement some Internet-based activities. This semester, I'm
teaching Intermediate Low.  The class has anywhere from 30 to 35
students on any given day.  They are all adult immigrant students who
live in or near Pacoima, California.  Pacoima is a suburb/community of
the greater Los Angeles area.  The students are predominantly from
Mexico and El Salvador with a smattering of Peruvians, Colombians,
Hondurans and other Central and South American Countries.  I
occasionally have Asian, Middle Eastern or European immigrants but not
this semester as yet.
