[Icvv] introduction

Hello everyone,

Glad to see this list waking up from its summer sleep again!  I'm Jo, I'm
based in Southampton, UK, and I teach adult learners with very mixed
backgrounds. I've done a couple of icvv projects and have explored email
exchanges, making webpages with Geocities, and last year using mobile
technologies and posting pictures to a website using camera phones and
multi-media messaging. I would love to lurk and see what happens this year,
am happy to join in discussions about ideas and stuff but I'm afraid I'm
going to be off on maternity leave for much of this academic year so I don't
think I can commit to a partnership. I toyed with the idea of getting
something started with one of my classes but I don't know who will be taking
them over when I'm off and it would be a bit unfair to leave it with someone
who may not be confident to continue it.

Look forward to hearing what everybody gets up to anyway :-)
