[Icvv] introduction

Sorry jumped in there with excited response about blogs and haven't
introduced myself to those who don't know me. (Catching up on emails that
accumulated while I've been away and accessing them in the wrong order!)

I teach ESOL to adult immigrants in Southampton UK. I did a project with
Sophie in Australia before and have been in contact with her again though I
don't know if we're going to work something out or not- our students are
likely to be a good match for each other (I haven't met my class yet - start
tomorrow!) but our timings may be difficult. If not I may just lurk on the
list for a while if you don't mind but may shout for a partner in a few
months' time when I see how my other projects are going and have settled
into my new routine. I am involved in a lot of teacher training and research
right now (mostly involving mobile technologies e.g. handheld comouters and
camera phones) which is exciting but means I have fewer teaching hours and
so I don't have many students right now to experiment with!
