Hi ICVV friends
I said I didn't have time to be matched just yet but off list I have started
a partnership with Sophie and one of her classes in Australia. We're just
introducing ourselves to each other at the moment but I'm already quite
excited about it. The students have reacted so enthusiastically. I'll tell
you more later when we've done something impressive! I'm not sure whether
we're going to discuss a film. According to my scheme of work I don't have
time to fit it in but I've got an idea rolling around my brain and if Sophie
was up for it I might be tempted to try to re-arrange things. Anyway, that's
for a bit later on - I can discuss that with her later.
I've also been contacted by a teacher in Ghana called Solo. I think (and he
thinks) he has found me through this list but he doesn't appear on the
members list or database (I'm signed up to all sorts of lists and things -
it's possble we 'met' somewhere else!). I don't have a class that can work
with him at the moment but I've said I will communicate with his students if
they're keen and ready to go and have no other partners. But Eric - your
entry on the database says you want African partners. Are you in contact
with this chap or shall I put you in contact?
