[GLCnews] community hearing - June 19th, 2-5pm

Hey everyone,

The GLC is holding a community hearing in advance of a planned city council hearing in September. We hope that students, teachers, family members, interested community members, politicians and the media will come to help us launch a powerful, unified campaign to give adult education the support it deserves. This will be an opportunity for people to testify to the importance of adult education and the need for renewed support.

Please spread the word and save the date. I'm including a flyer that you can post in schools, churches and community centers. We also plan to have flyers in Spanish, Creole, Mandarin and Russian. There will be translation available at the hearing.

If you would like a student or a teacher to come speak at your program about the GLC and the community hearing, please let us know and we will arrange it.
