Hey everyone,
The GLC has two e-mail listservs. You are welcome to
use both of them, but they each have a different
purpose.
1. The GLC listserv address
(glc at lists.literacytent.org) will send a message to
everyone in the GLC who is willing to receive
communication about the issues the GLC is working on.
Appropriate messages could include draft documents,
requests for assistance, strategic planning, forwards
of important literacy information, etc. Please don't
send meeting announcements to this list.
2. The GLCnews listserv address
(glcnews at lists.literacytent.org) should be used only
for meeting announcements and important GLC
announcements. The people on this list have said that
they would rather not receive the detailed
communication that happens on the GLC list. Please
send meeting announcements to this list.
Note: Everyone on the GLC list is also on the GLCnews
list, so everyone will receive the meeting
announcements sent to GLCnews. You don't need to send
meeting announcements to both lists.
I hope this makes some sense. When we created the
second GLCnews list, we were responding to the
concerns of some GLC members who wanted to be
informed, but didn't have time to read 10-20 messages
a week.
Does this make sense? Does anyone have anything they
want to add?
Cheers,
Eric
