[GLCnews] Literacy March at Republican Convention

Dear GLCers-

As some of you may know the GLC has been organizing
around having an adult literacy/adult education
contingent within the larger Poor People's March on
August 30th. It is really coming together. We want to
encourage all of you to come out for the march and let
your voice be heard and our numbers be seen. 

Attached is a flyer with information about the meeting
time and place. Please pass this along to teachers,
students and any other interested party. The more the
better.

Also, we are having a sign-making night to prepare for
the march on Thursday 8/26 from 5:30-7:30 at the
Fortune Society (53 West 23rd St 7th floor). All
artistic levels are  welcome. Even if you can't make
the march on the 30th, come make a sign and we will
carry your message.
