Dear Friends,
We hope that you are well.
On March 9 and 10, eight women students and teachers
from adult education classes in New York City will be attending
the WE LEARN Conference in Boston, Massachusetts.
It is an Annual (Net)Working Conference on Women and Literacy.
These NYC women will be leading a workshop titled
"Women Student Leadership in the Fight for Literacy."
As you might guess, it costs money to do this, and most of those
going cannot afford the travel and room expenses, We would
appreciate any contribution that you could make to this
effort. It is an opportunity to develop stronger leadership
in the fight for literacy and to learn from other women around
the country.
The web site of the WE LEARN Conference is:

You can contribute to this effort by writing a check to the
Paulo Friere Institute for Popular Education and Social Change
and sending it to: Students of Adult Literacy United,
32 Broadway, 10th Floor
New York, New York 10004
Thank You.
