[GLC] Adult Literacy Leadership Development Dialogue - Thurday, June 1 at 4 PM

  The Grassroots Literacy Coalition, in collaboration with the Literacy Assistance Center (LAC) and Students of Adult Literacy United (SALU), cordially invites you to the workshop “Adult Literacy Leadership Development Dialogue” presenters, GLC Co-Chair: David Greene and Calvin Miles, president of Voices for Adult Literacy United for Education.
   
  This is the first of a series of workshops focusing on educating students, teachers, administrators, the literacy community and the elected officials about leadership development, civic participation, and challenges of today, and difficulties that students, teachers and administers must face in this city.  Additionally, it will cover an analysis of the Leadership Development of Adult Education, its origin, its development, and expectations for the future.
   
  Since its creation in 1990, GLC has been committed to helping the adult literacy community in this City, by collaborating to develop strong, articulate and independent leaders who are committed to lifelong learning and personal, family and community growth.
   
  We’ll be also looking into the barriers, obstacles and supports. The visioning, next steps, and how to plan for the future. Refreshment will be served.

  El Gremio Literario Comunitario , en colaboración con  el Centro de Assistencia Literaria, y la Union de Estudiantes Literario Adultos, tiene el placer de invitarle al taller “DIALOGO DEL DESARROLLO DE LIDERAZGO EN LA EDUCACION DE ADULTOS”, el taller será impartido por dos destacados lideres destacados en esta area por más de tres décadas, David Greene y Calvin Miles, quienes abordarán diferentes aspectos del desarrollo de liderazgo, que tienen que ver con su origen, desarrollo y expectativas de cara al futuro.
   
  Con este taller,damos inicio a nuestro ciclo de talleres del 2006.   Dichas actividades forman parte de el compromiso asumido por GLC y estan dirigido a contribuir al desarlollo educativo de nuestra communidad de educacion de adultos, así como a los maestros y activistas.  
   
  Tambien se analyzaran las barreras, obstaculos y posibilidades. La vision, proximos pasos y como planificar para el futuro. Refrescos seran ofrecidos.
