[GLC] Grassroots Literacy Coalition -- Correction Meeting Day

Dear Friends,                                     *Notice Correction**  January 15th is Monday

We hope that all is well with you
and that the holidays are full of joy.

We are holding a general meeting of the
Grassroots Literacy Coalition on Monday,
January 15th from 4:30 to 6:30 PM - and we hope
that you can make it.

The meeting will be held at the Kipps Bay Library/Community Room
at 480 Second Avenue, between 27th and 28th Streets in Manhattan.

We Will be discussing on going work with: 

1. Support for SALU - Students of Adult Literacy United
             Adult Student Organizing Efforts

2. The New York Bill of Rights for Adult Education
         City Council and Legislative Campaign

3. Future Directions and Re-Organization

It is clear by all estimates that literacy and adult education programs only serve
a small percentage of the people who need them.  It's time to build a real movement
to end illiteracy.
