Please join the NY Coalition to Expand Voting Rights and Unlock the Block in
a Speak Out for Voting Rights. Over 100 organizations are coming together
to demand the passage of the Voting Rights Restoration Act and amendments to
the Pro-Voter law to allow non-citizens and formerly incarcerated persons to
have the right to vote. We need your support!

What: A Speak Out for Voting Rights

Date: Monday, September 12, 2005

Time: 12 noon

Where: Bowling Green Park at Broadway and Exchange Place in lower
Manhattan (at the Charging Bull Statue near the Board of Elections)

Directions: 4 or 5 train to Bowling Green or 1 train to South Ferry

Since this is a public speak out everyone will get a chance to have their
voice heard, but if you know who is coming from your organization, please
let me know so I can start a preliminary Speaker's list.

I am attaching a final version of the flier. PLEASE DISTRIBUTE far and
wide. Reach out to media outlets, elected officials, candidates, clients,
friends, neighbors and supporters! I am working on a Spanish translation
and will send that tomorrow, along with a final version of the media
advisory.

Also, if you have any more signed petitions, please let me know and bring
them on Monday!

Thanks everyone with all of us working together this is going to be a GREAT
event!

Cheryl
