Hello, Supporters of Adult Education in NYC,
If you aren't already conferenced-out, here's another good one:
The New Jersey Association for Lifelong Learning will hold its annual
conference on May 24th, 2005 at the Wyndham Hotel near the Newark Airport.
(This site is a short NJ Transit train ride from Penn Station.
NJALL is New Jersey's statewide association of adult educators, the
equivalent of the New York Association for Continuing/Community Education
(NYACCE). This year's presenters will include a number of New Yorkers:
-- Winston Lawrence on health literacy,
-- Mariann Fedele on media literacy,
-- John Gordon on correctional education issues,
-- NYU student Phoebe Fox on developing student publications with and for
adult learners).
-- Paul Jurmo on basic skills for job-seekers and [with Claudia Terry] the
theory and practice of workplace basic skills programs,
Also featured will be David Rosen, a nationally-known advocate for adult
education from Boston.
For more information, go to NJALL's web site: www.easternlincs.org/njall.
