Below is a listing of upcoming workshops from Central MA SABES.  Be sure
to check the bottom of this e-mail for additional items that may be of
interest.  
 
To register for any of the workshops below, just click on the link
provided.  In the event of inclement weather, if Quinsigamond Community
College has cancelled classes, all Central SABES staff development
activities will be cancelled, no matter where in the region the
workshops are held.  In the event QCC classes are delayed, please call
Central SABES at 508-854-4476 for the status of the workshop.   You can
check for cancellations and/or delays at the QCC web-site @

have home phone numbers in addition to work phone numbers in case

	The Commonwealth Workforce Coalition (CWC) will host a Regional
Networking Meeting for Workforce Development Professionals on January
31, 2008 from 11am -1pm in Sterling, MA.  ABE practitioners are invited
to participate with other direct service and supervisory workforce
development staff in this opportunity to network, learn from each other,
and share experiences.  The meeting will be followed by lunch (provided

	SABES Literacy Library - New Health Materials -  The American
Association for the Advancement of Science has developed a useful and
high-quality health series as part of their Healthy People Library
Project.  Plain language booklets about the science of common chronic
illnesses are available in print and online.  Contact Sandra Darling at
