Please note that when registering via the statewide calendar - you are
not officially enrolled until you get a message from the Central SABES
office.  The registration confirmation you get when you hit the submit
button is just to let you know that the registration has been submitted,
but does not automatically mean you are registered.

Counselor/Student Support Coordinator Group
Thursday, May 29

At this, the third meeting of the year we will be joined by Katia
Santiago-Taylor from the Massachusetts Office for Victim Assistance
(MOVA).  MOVA is an independent state agency dedicated to advancing
rights and services for victims of violent crimes.  To meet that goal
they offer training and outreach to the community.  Our session with
Katia will focus on support services for victims of violent crimes and
their families and on domestic violence.  There will be time for
questions and answers and of course there will be time for our group
problem solving and peer support.

Special note to evening program counselors and student support
Coordinators
In February we held an evening meeting of the Counselor/SSC group.
Though attendance was low, it was evident that there is interest for
this group to meet again.  If you are interested in attending a meeting
of the group that is held between 3:30pm and 7:00pm, please email Cathy
Gannon cgannon at qcc.mass.edu no later than 
May 16.  Cathy will survey those who have expressed an interest to set
the exact time and date of the meeting.
