		Announcements       
		 
		 
		Do the Write Thing (DTWT) is the Central SABES student
writing publication.  We encourage ABE, GED and ESOL students in Central
MA ABE programs to participate as student writers and illustrators, and
class teams to participate as members of the editorial board.  The

		Watch your email for special editions of "DTWT News"
which will include tips for using the publication as a classroom tool,
tools for motivating your students to write, and up to the minute

		The Change Agent (the publication of the New England
Literacy Resource Center) Seeks Artists and Writers
		 
		The March 2008 issue of The Change Agent will have the
theme "Voting and Advocacy."  The official call-for-articles flyer is

in hearing from teachers and adult learners about their experiences with

		"Writing with Confidence" Strategies to Motivate
Students
		 
		 
		This workshop will provide creative ideas to motivate
your stdents to wrtie with less fear.  After finding topics to wrtie
about, a rubric will be used to help the teachers to guide their
students through a more successful writing process.

		1. STATEWIDE WORKPLACE EDUCATION TRAINING
		 
		Planning and Evaluation Teams (PET)
		 
		The planning and Evaluation Team (PET) is key to
developing an effective workplace education program.  Join us as we
brainstorm, troubleshoot and strategize our way through the complexities
of creating and maintaining an effective PET.

		2. Wimba Orientation
		 
		As a result of this orientation participants will become
familiar with the capabilities of Wimba including how to set up your
