Sounds good - are you thinking 10-1 or 1-4? or other?? The date is workable for me, but I would prefer afternoon if possible. Don't know what the CAL or others think......

Hello, everyone, how are you all doing?  I hope you are enjoying your summer
as I am. It's been a long time since we have used this list. I hope this
past year went smoothly for you in training staff and implementing the BEST
Plus at your program.

I'm writing because a number of you have expressed a desire to meet and
discuss as a group how this past year of BEST Plus training has gone, and to
discuss any questions that have arisen for you regarding test administration
and scoring.  This summer, the Center for Applied Linguistics has developed
a draft version of the Inter Rater Reliability Video and would like us to
pilot it and give them some feedback. In addition to these two main
purposes, there may be some other topics included in this refresher/training
as we move closer to September.

Since I know the fall is a busy time, I wanted to reach you as soon as
possible to secure the date of Friday, September 16, for about 3 hours, for
a meeting date.  The meeting will be held at the Regional Employment Board,
44 Front Street in Worcester.  Two to four CAL staff will be traveling up to
Massachusetts from Washington, DC to facilitate this training, and they are
available on this date, so I hope very much that you will be able to make
this date.  I think it is important for us all to check in early in the year
regarding any BEST Plus questions or concerns so that you can proceed easily
and effectively with BEST Plus training or test administration/scoring for
your program.

I know it will be difficult for this date to work for everyone.  Please let
me know your availability for this date before Wednesday, August 3, so I can
make sure to accommodate as many trainers as possible. If we need to find
another date, I will do so after I've heard from all of you.  If you have
specific items or questions you'd like covered in the meeting, I'd welcome
your thoughts.  Thanks so much!
