Dear Colleagues,
SABES has been convening ABE Teacher's License support groups for several years now. License-seeking practitioners meet each month on the same day of the month (e.g., First Fridays) to work together to develop the portfolio they will submit to Mass DESE as part of the license requirements. Carey Reid, the SABES staff developer for this effort, provides direct onsite support. Attire is casual, and lunch is on SABES. Interested practitioners should have at least 2,000 hours of classroom teaching experience, and a positive attitude.
Please join me in congratulating Carla Melo of the UMASS Dartmouth Workers' Education program, the latest ABE License recipient from the Southeast!
The Southeast Group (The Wild Turkeys!) meet third Fridays in Southeastern Mass from 12-4 PM at Bristol Community College in Fall River.
These hours are open to negotiation by group members.
If you are interested in joining This group, or if you have any questions to be answered first, please contact Carey Reid at creid at worlded.org or 617.385.3637.
Annemarie
