Hi everyone,
Quincy Community Action Programs, Inc. (QCAP) has an immediate opening
for a GED teacher in the evenings. Teach two classes per week through
June 2008:
Pre- GED (GLE 6 - 9) Mondays and Wednesdays 6PM to 9PM
GED (GLE 9 - 12) Tuesdays and Thursdays 6PM to 9PM
Position is part-time, 18 hours per week (including paid prep time);
salary is $18 per hour including paid sick time, holiday time, and two
personal days per year.
We are looking for someone with a Bachelor's degree in education or
other relevant field, at least two years of experience teaching adults
from diverse backgrounds, preferably in a DOE-funded adult education
program, experience with lesson planning and curriculum development, and
a commitment to working on behalf of low-to-moderate income people.
