Hi all:

 

Bristol Community College is transitioning to a new internet provider
resulting in a new web address for the college www.bristolcc.edu
<http://www.bristolcc.edu/>  thus new email addresses for SABES SE
staff.  

 

As the email below indicates, all BCC staff including SABES SE staff
will correspondingly have email addresses with an ending of:
bristolcc.edu as in nsherida at bristolcc.edu

 

We ask that you begin immediately to use these new email addresses when
contacting SABES SE staff.

Hello:

 

Starting immediately, the College's web address can now be accessed
using www.bristolcc.edu <http://www.bristolcc.edu/>  and your College
email (not accessBCC email) will have an ending of @bristolcc.edu. This
is the final step as we transition to a new Internet provider which has
provided some much-needed additional bandwidth. It also helps avoid the
continuing confusion with our existing address as I'm sure most of you
always spell out the .mass to avoid your email getting lost in the .ma
black hole. 

 

The current Web addresses (www.bristol.mass.edu
<http://www.bristol.mass.edu/>  and www.BristolCommunityCollege.edu
<http://www.bristolcommunitycollege.edu/> ) as well as our email address
(someone at bristol.mass.edu) will continue to work for at least a year.
During this time email sent to your former address will be re-directed
to your new address automatically. 

 

As you refer people to services on our website and provide your email
address be sure to include this change. As always, please feel free to
call me at ext. 2412 if you have any questions.

 

accessBCC email addresses will remain unchanged as
@mail.bristol.mass.edu. We are in the early stages of planning a major
accessBCC upgrade and we are looking at the option of changing email
addresses for that system to be in line with the new address.  We will
keep you updated as we move forward with this possible change.

 

We will have a year transition time where
www.bristolcommunitycollege.edu
<http://www.bristolcommunitycollege.edu/>  will continue to work for the
College website and UMass has agreed to forward us the
www.bristol.mass.edu <http://www.bristol.mass.edu/>  website and email
traffic.
