Have you taken SABES's free online "Fundamentals of Assessment"

Course?

 

This tutorial course is designed to give practitioners a good basic
understanding of assessment principles, in layperson's language.  You
can take the course at your own pace, working through a series of short

1-2 page "lessons" with check-in questions along the way--and a 10-item
final exam at the end.  Over 50 practitioners have taken the course, and
just about everyone reports that they found it useful and enjoyable.

 

Why not give it a try?

 

Just got to http://moodle.literacytent.org
<http://moodle.literacytent.org/>  

 

Then, click on Distance Learning.

 

Then, click on Fundamentals of Assessment.

 

Then, do NOT log in but start a "New Account" on the right hand side of
the page.

 

After you finish setting up your account, you will be sent a Password
via email.  Then, return to the course and log-in using that password
PLUS the enrollment key "mockup".

 

Then, you're ready to start the course.
