Hi everyone,
Quincy Community Action Programs is still accepting resumes for two open
positions in our DOE-funded Adult Education program. See short
summaries below. Please send your resume to my attention as soon as
possible if you are interested in either position, or contact me if you
would like a more detailed job description for either position.
ESOL Counselor - Responsible for outreach, intake, assessment,
goal-setting, and ongoing counseling for students in five ESOL classes
at two sites in Quincy. 25 hours per week for 42 weeks starting August
20th, 2007. Position includes paid holiday time, sick time, and two
personal days per year. Starts at $18 per hour. Prefer someone who has
previous experience in a DOE-funded program and is bilingual
Cantonese/English.
GED Teacher - Teach GED for Homeless class (Mon-Wed-Thurs 1PM to
3:30PM), Pre-GED class (Mon-Wed 6PM to 9PM) and GED class (Tues-Thurs
6PM to 9PM). 29.25 hours per week, including paid prep time, starting
September 4th. Position includes paid holiday time, sick time, and two
personal days per year. Starts at $18 per hour.
QCAP is a ten-minute walk from the Quincy Center stop on the Red Line.
ESOL counselor position requires regular local travel to second class
site in Quincy.
