ATTENTION!!!!

 

The Barnstable County Correctional Facility education department has an
opening for a computer teacher.  This contracted position is part time.
Classes run from 5:30 to 8:15 Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and
Thursdays during the 07-08 academic year.  

 

COMPUTER LITERATURE INSTRUCTOR

 

STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES

 

            Experience instructing adolescents and adults in computers

 

Communicate effectively with all staff members

 

Design and develop a comprehensive computer program for our student
population 

 

Assist students in GED preparation through CAI based in GED software
programs

 

Assist in program and curriculum development

 

Compile educational records for all participating students

 

Participate in professional development that is relevant to computer
literacy 

 

Attend all mandated MDOC trainings. 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

            A bachelor degree in education or computer science

 

            Correctional education experience preferred but not required

 

            An understanding of learning disabilities preferred but not
required

 

            Must be a team player
