POSITION:  Adult Basic Education Instructors (Attleboro Site)
 
STATEMENT OF DUTIES: The ABE Instructor will develop and provide
instruction for adult students in basic skills upgrading and/or GED
preparation.
* Develop curriculum that links to the ABE Frameworks
* Develop appropriate materials for classroom activities
* With program counselor, identifies and develop plans for each
student's educational goals 
* Participate in at least 12/hrs, or 2.5% of paid hours of professional
development activities per year as mandated by the Department of
Education
* If new to ABE, attend a 15 hour teacher orientation in addition to the
required 2.5% 
 
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
* Bachelor's Degree in teaching or related discipline
* Experience working with the adult learner population
* Experience working with students with learning disabilities a plus
* Demonstrated ability to provide individualized and group instruction
POSITION STATUS/SALARY:  $22.83/hr - up to 13.5/hrs/wk, days
-grant-funded, part-time, non-benefited, subject to availability of
funds.
