This workshop will explore the ways that geometry can be used to
describe the real world. We will use the earth as a circular model for
circumference, diameter, degrees and coordinates, and how to get from
one location to another. We'll look at the worldwide resources involved
in assembling something as simple as a light bulb. Finally, we'll go
online to look at real-time data collected on the dynamic processes such
as earthquakes that affect the planet.
