World Education/SABES is seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant to
provide support to SABES and Mass AAL.
World Education, a Boston-based nonprofit organization dedicated to
improving lives through economic and social development programs, is
funded by the Massachusetts Department of Education to administer the
SABES Central Resource Center and Mass AAL. SABES, the System for Adult
Basic Education Support, provides professional development, technical
assistance, and resources for Massachusetts Adult Basic Education (ABE)
programs and practitioners. The Massachusetts Alliance for Adult
Literacy (Mass AAL) is an ABE student leadership organization.
Responsibilities
* Perform general administrative duties as needed including
mailings and copying.
* Format and produce newsletters, brochures, and flyers.
* Edit and format reports, training materials and other documents.
* Enter information into a membership database.
* Compile, analyze, and present data.
* Track project expenses.
* Arrange logistics for meetings and workshops.
* Participate in project and division meetings and committees.
Qualifications
* Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and
Access.
* Strong written and oral communication skills.
* Ability to work well both as a member of a team and
independently.
* Ability to balance multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
* Strong organizational skills.
* Experience working with diverse groups.
* Experience in adult literacy preferred.
Salary: $34,500, plus excellent benefits.
