I do work for our local party office here in the UK and I can tell  you 
that astonishingly large numbers of people do not, or do not care to,  
associate taxes with services at all. We have been manipulated, IMO, into  believing 
that somehow we can, and should, have it all and that there are no  costs. 
None of our politicians is brave enough to tell it how it really is - and  
it could, of course, sink their career if they did. Their electorate is in a  
dangerously infantile state...
