Colleagues,

Comments by adult literacy advocates on the draft National Education
Technology Plan have received some press attention in Federal Computer
Week. I am not sure who reads this publication or how much attention
this will get, but it is noteworthy that adult literacy and technology
advocates (including me) have commented on the plan, and that the
National Coalition for Literacy is now considering language from its
technology subgroup, led by Heidi Silver-Pacuilla, to support
including more on adult education in this Technology Plan.

To read (and add to -- by May 14th) the comments on the draft plan, go
to http://www.ed.gov/technology/netp-2010

To read the article. in which it is written that "The Education
Department is being urged to revise its draft version of the National
Education Technology Plan to include measures on adult education and
on accessibility for people with learning disabilities" go to http://fcw.com/articles/2010/05/12/national-education-technology-plan-updated.aspx
