Many of the adult education teachers in family literacy programs I work with use Learning Disability Intervention Manual by Stephen B. McCarney and Angela Marie Bauer. It is published by Hawthorne Educational Services, Inc. The book is described as a compilation of goals, objectives, and intervention strategies for common characteristics of learning disabilities.

Subject: [AAACE-NLA] Publications for Faculty
Good morning,
Our adult education program wants to add to their collection of faculty development materials. I'm wondering if anyone has any advice on what might be some of the best publications to include. I've got some ideas, but I'd like to hear what others think and/or what experiences they've had. What books or periodicals would provide our faculty with resources on best practices for working with adult learners who are at risk? Thanks for your help.
