*Criteria for Volunteer Interpreters for the WE LEARN Conference*

We are looking for a core team of volunteer interpreters who are coming to
the WE LEARN conference primarily to work as interpreters and who meet the
following criteria:
- fluent in English and Spanish or American Sign Language
- at least two - five years experience working as an interpreter in
professional and/or social movement settings
- experience with education, women's literacy, social justice
movements - in other words an understanding of the context of the WE LEARN
conference, familiarity with the vocabulary, and the ability to communicate
the concepts in the conference
- preferred but not required: some type of formal training as an
interpreter

- A language access coordinating team that will be available to help

- Willingness to work with interpretation equipment in the bigger
events and without interpretation equipment in the smaller workshops
