[AAACE-NLA] VT State Director for Adult Education Position

Every state is structured differently with directors having different
responsibilities. School districts, colleges, etc pay considerably
higher than state jobs. I think this is a good reality check. The many
mid western states range from the mid $30,000 but some of us have no
personal income tax either. Just a different way to see this.

Many teachers and local directors make more than the state director
around here.

Kentucky pays considerably better also. Our local program pays teachers
$23.99/hour.

We did the calcuation and the full time salary would be in the $44,000
range. This is less than most. Delaware pays considerably better.

Dr. Fran Tracy-Mumford
DE State Director, Adult Education
